The UK Hay Shortage: A Growing Crisis for Animals in Our Care
The UK Hay Shortage: Why It Matters (and How You
As a small, independent sanctuary, we rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like you.
Our top priority is to ensure the horses and animals in our sanctuary live peaceful, fulfilling lives, surrounded by love and care. We also aim to educate the public and younger generations on the remarkable history and ongoing impact of horses and animals. Your support is crucial, as we rely solely on donations and fundraising to care for our residents. By contributing, you’ll help these magnificent creatures thrive in their forever home and continue their vital work.
Making a monthly donation can make an immense difference to our charity. With consistent and reliable income, we can plan ahead and provide even better care for our animals.
Your monthly donation enables us to prepare for the future with confidence. We can stock up on extra hay for the winter, increase our feed supplies, and meet our bills without worrying about our financial stability. Your ongoing support helps us provide the best possible environment and care for our beloved residents, allowing them to thrive and lead happy lives in our sanctuary.
It costs around £300 per week to provide our resident animals with the essential foods and medicines they need.
We’ve put together an Amazon Wish List filled with some of our everyday needs.
Please consider purchasing an item and help us to continue providing the best possible home to our animals.
Becoming a Northcote sponsor is a simple way to support our resident animals. Your sponsorship helps provide shelter, food, medical care and daily love.
For a minimum £20 donation, you’ll receive a sponsor gift pack including a photo of your animal, a welcome story, sponsor certificate and invitations to meet them at the sanctuary. Sponsorships make a thoughtful gift or a special treat for yourself. Please contact us for more information.
We are entirely ran by volunteers and have no paid members of staff. If you’re enthusiastic about animals you would be a welcome addition to our team.
