Easter Open Day with Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Sunday 5th April 2026.

Celebrate Easter with a fun family day out at Northcote Heavy Horse Centre!

Join us for our Easter Open Day, where you can meet our wonderful animals up close and enjoy all the activities we normally offer — with a special Easter Adventure Trail added in for Easter.

It’s the perfect chance to spend some time outdoors, say hello to our friendly residents, and enjoy a relaxed spring day at the sanctuary.

On the day you can enjoy:

Animal encounters and handling
Pony grooming
Animal feeding
Llama walking
Exploring our sanctuary and meeting our rescued animals
A special Easter Egg Hunt (Easter Sunday only!)

Also open as normal Monday – Thursday

Open from 11am – 3pm (Main activities run between 12pm – 2pm)

No booking required.

Free admission!
(donations are very welcome and help us care for the animals)

Medieval Banquet Evening

Saturday 18th July 2026.

From £20.00pp which includes a 3 course meal and live entertainment.

We are thrilled to announce the return of our highly anticipated event! Come and indulge in an evening of delicious food, laughter, and entertainment that is sure to leave you feeling merry and content.

Feast your eyes on our hilarious comedic jester who will have you roaring with laughter as he makes a complete fool of himself.

Prepare to be amazed by our talented aerial artists who will take to the hoop and trapeze to showcase their breath-taking routines that will leave you on the edge of your seat. And if that’s not enough, our fire performers will dazzle you with a blazing display of artistry that is not to be missed.

Meal includes a large hog roast serving, fresh breads, selection of puddings and table extras. (Vegetarian and vegan/dietary options available)
Camping available at a small extra charge.

Medieval Tournament

Sunday 23rd August 2026.

Prepare to be transported to a world of enchantment and wonder as we invite you to join us for a truly magical day filled with thrilling medieval displays and entertainment. For almost 30 years, our sanctuary has played host to some incredible family fun medieval-themed events!

Be awed by the majestic bird of prey demonstration and inspired by the breathtaking aerial acrobatic displays. Our talented fire performers will light up the day with their mesmerising skills, and our equestrian vaulting displays will leave you spellbound.

Shop for unique gifts and trinkets from our charming stalls, and satisfy your appetite with our mouthwatering BBQ food or refreshing cafe drinks.

Don’t miss out on this truly unforgettable experience. Join us for a day of magic, wonder, and family fun!

Entry is £6.00 for adults and £4.00 for children.

Halloween Fright Night

Friday 30th & Saturday 31st October 2026 (Halloween Night).

Trick or treat? Are you ready for a night of thrills and chills?!

Back by popular demand, and after previous year’s sell-out event, we invite you to join us for our annual Spooky Halloween Evening!

Dare to venture down our eerie trail… but beware, monsters might be lurking in the shadows!

Enjoy a spine-tingling array of Halloween-themed activities, from mesmerising fire performers and aerial acrobatics to spooky dancers and much more.

Don’t forget to bring your own carved pumpkin to be judged—and don’t forget to dress up! There may be treats (or tricks) for the winners… insert spooky laugh!

Meet many of our resident horses, animals and ghouls.

Our cosy café will be open, offering light snacks like hot dogs, warm sausage rolls, and steaming hot chocolate to keep you fuelled for the frights ahead.

Remember to wear sensible footwear and dress warmly (it might get cold and wet!). Most themes are outdoors, but some are indoors or undercover.
